Gonda district is one of the least literate districts in the state, and before I became MLA, Katra Bazaar was significantly deprived of literacy in the constituency. Even the Haldharmau development block didn't have a single recognized intermediate college. I used my MLA fund to build classrooms and bring them up to standard, securing high school and intermediate recognition for several schools in the constituency. I also worked with several individuals to open schools. Now, the culture of opening schools has become prevalent in the area, and an educational environment has been created. However, there were no means to obtain a degree. Due to poverty, students could not travel to Gonda headquarters or other districts to study. I approached several people with the idea of purchasing land and investing money to open a degree college, but no one was willing to donate land or invest money. So, I thought, why not try it myself? Education cannot flourish without political patronage, regardless of religion, caste, or religion.
Hence, making successful efforts to educate the area, I laid the foundation stone of Kisan Degree College on 01 July, 2008. Since then, the Degree College is continuously moving forward on the path of development and is striving to build a golden future for the students.
I will always strive for the development of this college and remain committed to making it an excellent college. It is your responsibility to nurture the sapling of this college that I have planted. I will try to take your children forward by hiring experienced lecturers and providing them with the best facilities and if even one student from this college reaches a good place then our dream will be fulfilled.
